This was the last photo that I took on last summer’s road trip. I climbed up on a rock formation and steadied myself, waiting for the sunset. I was up really high and I have an intense fear of heights, so I had to keep talking myself into staying here for the right moment.

When it came, I took the shot and that was that. I didn’t really know what to expect. I don’t do a lot of sunset photography. Hell, I don’t really do any. It’s far from a perfect photo, but it sort of captured the feel of the last day of travel on a five-week long road trip. It’s beautiful, but maybe only to you. And that’s okay.
