I took several photos in La Crosse, Whitman County, Washington, and was most impressed by this brick house. There simply aren’t such things in abundance out in this part of the world. With a closer look, you can see a 1960s car tucked behind the right side of the structure.
We were there in the morning, so the sun was in the wrong place to capture two stone cottages that had the appearance to tourist cabins of the 1930s.
I’m still trying to get used to Ektapan. It’s very flat and I want to love it a lot more than I do. I’ll try a red filter next time in hopes of getting a bit more contrast. I’m not even fully sure that’s the issue. And I’ll admit, this isn’t exactly a wonderful subject. It’s a damn boring photo.
