This is Fomapan 100. I always forget about Fomapan. Even when I’m shooting it. I always note the film on a piece of yellow electrical tape and stick it on the camera. So when I pick up whatever camera I’m using and see that’s it’s Fomapan, I’m always surprised. Always.
“Oh cool! Fomapan!” As if I didn’t select this film and load it myself.
And when I notice this, I always want to do something special with it. If I’m shooting some random building in some random town and I pick up the camera with the Fomapan, I’ll usually put it back down. “No Foma, you deserve better than this,” I’ll think.
But when we pull up to a big ass windmill for no reason, that’s when the Fomapan is employed.
